Een bijzondere minimix werd op deze avond herhaald: Kraftwerk – Mega Mix. Ben Liebrand draaide deze minimix helemaal voor zichzelf. Hij deed dit omdat het op 1 april 2013 dertig jaar geleden was dat de eerste aflevering van In The Mix werd uitgezonden en de Duitse band Kraftwerk een van zijn inspiratiebronnen was. Dit is overigens de MegaMix uit 1991, die eerder werd uitgezonden op respectievelijk 1991-06-07, 2000-05-19 en 2004-04-09. Er is nog een andere Megamix van Kraftwerk. Deze werd ooit uitgezonden op 1984-12-21.

Over zijn aanstaande jubileum schreef Ben Liebrand op zijn site:

“So here I am on yet another thursday dedicated to making a new episode of In The Mix. Got to have it finished a bit in advance, time difference with Holland and all. So,……. Got it done, uploaded the files and although you would guess that an anniversary would be easy to plan / anticipate, here it comes and fully suprises me. Damn, next monday it’s 30 YEARS SINCE THE FIRST IN THE MIX!
So how about a special next week, I’ll see what’s possible and I’ll try to make it memorable.”

Het eerste uur van In The Mix was wederom nieuw. Ook deze bevatte voornamelijk tracks uit 2000 of later.
